Hoshizaki America, Inc.’s newest annual giving tradition, has leadership stuffing employees’ freezers with thanks. Complete frozen turkeys were hand-delivered by executive staff to all employees at two Georgia factories as employees crammed community food and toy donation boxes.
Hoshizaki America’s volunteer employee committee “The Green Team” is committed to environmental stewardship. They recently worked with the Fayette Water Guardians to clean up Lake Kedron and changed the plastic stir straws to wooden stirrers in the coffee break areas.
During the time of year when most people are giving thanks, the employees at both locations of Hoshizaki’s manufacturing plants?donated a grand total 25,303 pounds of food to local charities. The?Peachtree City?plant donated?10,464 pounds?of non-perishable food items to?The Real Life Center, which more than doubled their 2015 total. The?Griffin?plant donated?6,943 pounds?of non-perishable food good items to the?Five Loaves and Two Fish Food Pantry, which is triple their 2015 total and was the largest donor to this organization.
Team Hoshizaki donated over $2,700 for The Breast Cancer Survivors Network. Employees of Hoshizaki America, Inc. donated 11,327 pounds of food to the Five Loaves and Two Fish Food Pantry. The 220 employees in the Griffin Hoshizaki facility collected the food throughout November. “We donated 7,000 pounds last year and we wanted to escalate our efforts and go above and beyond this year,” said Director of Griffin Plant Operations Rick Bassan. Hoshazaki also donated $2,000?to the food pantry. “We feel as good corporate citizens that we need to give back to the community we work in and give to people in need,” said Bassan. “We are glad to support the food pantry.”

The Breast Cancer Survivors' Network (BCSN) 7th Annual Breast Cancer 1-Day Walk/Run was well attended by Hoshizaki America, Inc. staff and family as part of Team: Cyndi's Breast Friends. Their contributions and fundraising efforts totaled over $6,000 and were awarded 1st Place Team Fundraiser. Funds raised go directly to The Breast Cancer Survivors' Network, Inc. located in Peachtree City, a Georgia 501 (c)(3) non-profit, volunteer-based organization. It is Georgia's largest network of Breast Cancer Support Groups and the proceeds provide for FREE programs, services, and supplies for local breast cancer patients, as well as community education of Georgia residents.
Fayette Senior Services, a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization welcomes the generosity of this local business in assuring that their kitchen has the tools they need to continue to provide delicious and nutritious meals to the seniors in our community at an affordable cost. Throughout the years, Hoshizaki has assisted FSS in acquiring refrigerators, freezers, ice makers and most recently a new hot-box for food.
Hoshizaki America, Inc., a leading manufacturer of foodservice equipment, continues to support the Girl Scouts with a donation to the local Atlanta chapter. For over 15 years Hoshizaki and many of their employees’ families have supported the Girl Scouts through volunteer opportunities, cookie sales, camp participation, and donations of funds and equipment.
